Ms. Munk began dancing at the age of four in Abbotsford, BC. She moved to Winnipeg to train professionally with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, and then joined the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company where she performed both nationally and internationally. While in Winnipeg, she received numerous Arts Council Awards, allowing her to pursue further training with the Royal Danish Ballet and Cuban National Ballet, as well as Stuttgart and Hamburg. After retiring from dance, Joy attended Canada's National Ballet School to become a teacher, where she graduated with distinction. Throughout her career, Joy was most inspired by Galina Yordanova and Truman Finney, and she hopes to pass on all that she's been given to the next wave of young dancers
