Meiko is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance. She studied and prepared for RAD ballet examinations under RAD teachers Avril Johns and Sharon Boswell, attaining the award of distinction. She completed the RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS), and is dedicated to maintaining up-to-date teaching practices and the latest exam syllabus knowledge through continued professional development courses offered by international RAD examiners and educators. She has been teaching the RAD Graded Syllabus Pre-primary to Grade 7, the Vocational Syllabus Intermediate Foundation to Advanced Foundation, as well as open classes for young children through adults. Meiko’s years of teaching the very young dancer has evolved into her own creative pre-ballet experience for the 3-5 age range, focusing on the building of coordination, musicality and a love of movement through imaginative adventures
