Coastal City Ballet, a program of Pacific DanceArts, is a repertory ballet company located in Vancouver, Canada that offers emerging dancers performance opportunities while continuing their professional career preparations. The program strives to provide much needed performance experience while offering guidance to dancers exploring career possibilities within the field of dance. The repertoire of Coastal City Ballet ranges from commissioned works in neoclassical and classical ballet, to the development of story ballets. Company members maintain a daily schedule similar to that of a professional ballet company with daily class, rehearsals and scheduled performances.
Coastal City Ballet is dedicated to providing dance to the Greater Vancouver area and throughout British Columbia, as well as the possibility of both Canadian and international tours. Each season, Coastal City Ballet presents a full-length story ballet as well as original works from renowned choreographers.
