  • Master time-efficiency with academic school and dance
  • Acquire discipline and work ethic, committing to a full-time program

Student Progress/ Assessment Methods
Verbal assessments and feedback are provided daily in classes to allow students to progress throughout the program. Verbal assessments are the most valued in ballet, as a student repeats a limited number of steps and the visual assessment and feedback allows students to improve quickly.
Written assessments are provided to students one-third of the way through the program and also at the end. Written assessments are completed by the Artistic Director and the School Director with additional advice from instructors. The written assessment includes a “Notes” section which gives students clarification on the various aspects of their assessment and aides them in their progress.

Attendance Expectations;
Full attendance to all of the classes and rehearsals in the program is expected. Students who will be absent from classes or rehearsals due to an explained absence are required to notify the office as laid out in the school policy.

Dress Expectations;
The ½ Day Intensive Training program requires a leotard (any colour) and tights for women, and a dance-belt, tights and shirt for men. Hair must be in a cleanly pulled back for all ballet classes and rehearsals. For contemporary/modern, the ½ Day Intensive Training program requires bare feet unless otherwise specified. Warm ups/skirts must be removed when class begins.

Graduation Requirements;
The ½ Day Intensive Training program is a continuous training program and therefore does not have a specific graduation point. It is the student’s decision, sometimes based on advice from Instructors, whether or not they will continue with the program or choose to withdraw.
